School Districts must report a myriad of Special Education Data to the California Department of Education. School Districts transmit their data to the CALPADS system, both through SEIS, the IEP system, and direct reporting. It is critical that Districts report their data in an accurate and timely manner to ensure appropriate and timely funding, as well as to avoid compliance errors. The SELPA supports districts in this area through its own reporting, as well as consultation. In addition, the SELPA provides a number of trainings, both in person and through its YouTube channel, where many of the processes are explained.
